For a leading shipyard in the north of the Netherlands, specialized in the construction of exclusive, fully custom-built superyachts up to approximately 120 meters, we are looking to expand the team with several Aluminium Section / Hull Builder

About the function

As an Aluminium Section / Hull Builder, you will be part of the Metal Department. Together with your colleagues, you will work on building multiple sections that form the complete superstructure of a superyacht.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and welding instructions

  • Assessing shapes, dimensions, joint preparations, and required welding quality

  • Checking workpieces for compliance with drawings in terms of shape, dimensions, and cleanliness

  • Tack welding and fully welding complete sections and related components

  • Moving, positioning, and clamping workpieces and tools when required

  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment

  • Communicating effectively with welders and colleagues in English (Dutch is an advantage)

What we need

We are looking for professionals who:

  • Have completed a technical education

  • Have proven experience in yacht building or shipbuilding (mandatory)

  • Are able to independently read and interpret technical drawings and schematics

  • Place quality at the highest priority and work with great precision

  • Hold valid welding certificates (process 131 – MIG aluminium), issued by an IACS-accredited classification society (preferably Lloyd’s Register, Bureau Veritas, or DNV)

  • Are team players with strong communication skills and a sense of responsibility for project success

  • Are able to communicate effectively in English
