About the function
As a NavCom Electrical Engineer, you will be the expert in navigation and communication systems. You play a crucial role in designing and implementing systems such as radar, gyrocompass, magnetic compass, GMDSS, speed log, and echo sounder. You ensure that all designs comply with specifications, project requirements, and regulations. On an average day, you'll review supplier technical documentation and communicate with them to obtain the right information. You will upload data into PLM systems such as Teamcenter and write technical specifications for requests for quotation. What we need
- MBO level with at least 3 years of experience or HBO level education.
- Basic knowledge of electrical power, automation, and lighting systems.
- Understanding of various NavCom systems such as radar and gyrocompass.
- Systematic, assertive, and results-oriented mindset.
- Good verbal and written expression skills in the English language.
- Experience in ship or yacht building.
- Relevant software knowledge (MS Office, AutoCAD, Eplan, Teamcenter, Cadmatic, ETAP).
