Over de functie
Our client builds extremely luxurious seagoing motor yachts under their own brand name. Each yacht is designed and built entirely in accordance with the wishes of its future owner. Characteristic of yachts is absolute perfection down to the smallest detail. This can only be achieved with the most excellent professionals.
As a welder, you are part of a team of professionals consisting of plumbers, pipe fitters, construction fitters and fitters and you work with a group of colleagues on multiple piping systems throughout the yacht and you ensure that the colleagues can continue their work according to schedule. This includes hydraulics, working air, Hi-fog and all kinds of other piping systems that need to be installed on board.
The work consists of:
- Independently making prefab welds in the workshop and assembly welding on board on various piping systems and support structures.
- Performing welding work with the TIG/141 welding process in all welding positions on pipe and construction materials such as steel (FW1), stainless steel (FW5) and CuNiFer (W34)
- Measuring and manufacturing based on measurements
- Contributing to the most efficient installation method and working in a solution-oriented manner if practice differs from the drawing
- Contributing to order and cleanliness on the site and to all complex challenges in the field of mechanical engineering
Over het bedrijf
Our client completes luxury motor yachts with a maximum length of 120 metres. In addition to new construction, they also carry out refits of luxury yachts. Building luxury motor yachts and carrying out refits for individual clients requires creativity and flexibility and calls for special craftsmanship to realise the most diverse wishes of customers. Wat wij vragen
- You preferably have a technical vocational education at intermediate level;
- You preferably have work experience in yacht, shipbuilding or installation technology;
- You can read and understand working drawings and/or diagrams
- You can deliver continuous quality and you want to carry out your work down to the last detail.
- You have valid welding certificates for welding process 141 and for welding pipes and sheet metal in all positions of materials such as steel (FW1), stainless steel (FW5) and CuNiFer (W34)
- You are a team player with good communication skills and feel responsible for bringing the project to a successful conclusion together.
