About the function
As a Ship Metalworker in our section construction department you will work on the complex sections of luxury superyachts. From supplied construction kits, you build sections consisting of separate units. These sections can be up to 12 meters long and weigh up to 80 tons. You will work with relatively thin material and high precision is required. On a typical day, you will read drawings and parts lists to find and check the necessary components in the construction kit. You will work independently and must be able to perform tack welding in all positions with covered electrodes. Safe lifting and moving of loads are also important, as is maintaining a clean and safe working environment. What we need
- At least 5 years of experience in metalworking
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Good communication skills in Dutch or English, Dutch is a plus
- Skilled in tack welding in all positions with covered electrodes
- Experience with cutting and grinding
- Experience working with a theodolite and leveling instrument
- Possession of VCA1 and VCA2 certificates
